Academic Eligibility
Candidates for admission to the first year of the four year degree Programme in Engineering must possess any one of the following qualifications:
[i] A pass in H.Sc (Academic) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
or
[ii] A pass in H.Sc (Vocational Stream) with Engineering Vocational subjects and one of the related subjects like Mathematics, Physics.
or
[iii] Diploma in one of the courses like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, and Computer Science and Engineering.
or
[iv] Any other equivalent qualification approved by Annamalai University

Minimum Marks

Diploma Holders.*
O.C. 50% average in the related subjects
B.C. 45% average in the related subjects
MBC/DNC 40% average in the related subjects
SC/ST A pass

*  Average in V & VI Semesters
The following original certificates etc. are to be produced at the time of admission:

  1. Mark lists/symbolic gradation in each subject in H.Sc. or equivalent examination or other qualifying examination.
  2. Two Passport Size Photographs.
  3. Transfer and Conduct/Migration Certificate in H.Sc. or Equivalent Examination.
  4. Community certificate for Backward Class/Most Backward Class/Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Candidates.
  5. Medical Certificate
  6. Certificates regarding proficiency in Games, Sports, NSS, NCC, Social Service and Extra-Curriculum activities from the Headmaster of the School.

Selection of Candidates
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in their qualifying examination and the Entrance Examination conducted by University on the 9th & 10th May 2011.

The register numbers of selected candidates will be published in the University notice board and newspapers (One English and One Tamil Daily).
