The Candidates seeking admission to II year of the above Programme have to satisfy any one of the following conditions:
- The candidates having a Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA – One Year)/ BCA/ B.Sc (Computer Science) / B.Sc. (Information Technology) from a recognized University.
- The candidates who have successfully completed first year MCA (75% of the syllabus equivalent to this University) or PGDIT or any other PG Diploma in Computer studies from any recognized University with a minimum duration of one year.

The Candidates who have successfully completed Dual Degree (Computer Science / Information Technology) from Annamalai University.

Eligibility for Admission

Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the three year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme:
a)Three year Bachelor’s Degree after completion of Plus 2 (or)
b)Three year Bachelor’s Degree after completion of three year Diploma of any recognised University.
- Candidates seeking admission to I year of MCA Programme and who have not studied Mathematics at +2 or at Diploma level should undergo a bridge programme for a week.

Duration of the Programme
The minimum duration of the programme for the Degree of Master of Computer Applications is 6 semesters. The candidate shall complete the programme within 8 years from the year of admission to the programme.
Personal
Contact Programme (PCP)
Personal Contact Programmes will be conducted for a total duration of 29 days in each semester arranged in different sessions except in VI semester. All the Personal Contact Programmes are compulsory. The candidate will be eligible to appear for the examination only if he/she has attended at least 80% in the theory subjects and practical classes during the Personal Contact Programmes. Attendance certificate will be issued to the students at the end of each programme. If students take with them the recommended textbooks and the printed lessons received from the Directorate, they will find the PCP immensely useful.

of Examination |
A candidate for the MCA Degree Examination shall take the courses prescribed in the prospectus. Each course shall be of three hours’ duration.
The students have to do any computer oriented project work under a qualified guide in any computer related industry. The approval of the Director, DDE for the project work and project guide has to be obtained before starting the project. The project report should be submitted on or before the last date prescribed by the Director, D.D.E. The project work viva-voce will be conducted after submission of Project work. |
