PERSONAL CONTACT PROGRAMME (PCP) AND PRACTICALS
Personal Contact Programmes will be conducted in the following centres. Personal Contact Programmes are an integral part of the Programme. Attendance is compulsory for every programme.

CENTRE FOR PG PROGRAMMES: Agra, Baroda, Chennai, Cochin, Bangalore, New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Udaipur (107), Puducherry and Bhopal.

CENTRE FOR M.Sc. TOURISM: Puducherry only.
(If there is no sufficient number of students for a programme at a particular zone, the personal contact programme will not be conducted there and the students should attend the PCP at the zone fixed by the Direcotrate.)

     The attendance certificate shall be issued to the students on the last day of the first compulsory contact programme. Students must attach a self attested photostat copy of the attendance certificate to the application form for registration for the University examination at the end of the academic year.
    The Directorate reserves the right to fix, shift or cancel any PCP centre.

M.Sc., B.Sc. Hotel Management and Tourism, Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology :
     The Personal Contact Programme and practical classes, with compulsory attendance is necessary to write the examination. The practical examination will be conducted in one or two days at the end of every year and it is compulsory to complete the Programme.
Training Period :
     For every Programme the candidate has to undergo training in a reputed concern for his better industrial exposure, 6 months in Total for the Degree Programme, 4 months in Total for the Diploma and Craft Programmes, One month for P.G. Diploma Programme. He/she has to submit the project report along with the training certificate, project fee paid particulars at end of the Programme.

Attendance Regulation (PCP and Practicals)
     (i) No student is eligible to take the examination, if he/she fails to satisfy the minimum requirement of attendance at the compulsory Personal Contact Programme.
     (ii) If he takes the examination without attending the Compulsory Personal Contact Programme, Practicals the result of examination shall be cancelled.
     Students should attend the contact programme and practicals at the centres fixed by the Directorate. However, in genuine cases the change of centre will be permitted by the Directorate on payment of Rs. 300/- in the way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Director, Directorate of Distance Education towards change of centre fee. Nobody will be permitted to change the centre without prior permission from the Director.
     Attendance Certificate will be issued at the end of the Compulsory Personal Contact Programme. Students whose Attendance Certificate is lost can get duplicate certificate from the Directorate on requisition, along with a demand draft for Rs. 100/-.
     Students who fail to attend the Compulsory Personal Contact Programme will be permitted to attend the same in the subsequent years, on requisition along with Subsequent Personal Contact Programme fee of Rs. 150/- for Degree Programme, Rs. 200/- for Diploma (2 years), P.G. Diploma and Rs. 250/- for Diploma (1 year) programmes. Students should purchase the Utensils at their own cost for attending the practical.
